Tips To Help Revitalize Your Virgin Cambodian Hair

No matter how well you care for your virgin Cambodian hair extensions, at some point, it will be time to take them out and start with fresh hair. However, there is a possibility that your hair is not quite ready for the disposal and you can revitalize it to get a few more weeks of wear out of it. Here are some tips to help you review your hair and extend the wear.

Relax the Hair

A relaxer applied to the virgin hair can help if it is kinky or tangled. The relaxer does not need to remain on the hair long to be effective. Applying the relaxer is different than if you apply it to your own hair.

Never apply the relaxer while you are wearing it. Take out the extensions and lie them flat. You can use a rubber band to hold the hair together as you place the relaxer on it. Remember to put the pre-treater on the hair before the relaxer to avoid damaging it.

Carefully smooth the hair with the back of a comb before washing out the relaxer. Refer to the directions for the relaxer to determine how long you should leave the product on. Opt for the lowest time to avoid damage.

It is important to note that using the relaxer means that the hair is no longer considered virgin hair. If maintaining the virgin aspect of the hair is necessary for you, skip the relaxer.

Hydrate and Seal the Hair

One of the reasons virgin Cambodian loses its shine is that it can dry out. Exposure to different weather conditions, the products you place on the hair, and heat from hair appliances can leave the hair brittle and damaged.

Rehydrating the hair helps to restore some of the moisture and can extend your hair's lifespan. To rehydrate the hair, you need to apply moisture and seal it. A good moisturizing agent is water. Simply wet the hair and then apply a sealant. In this instance, the sealant needs to be a heavy oil or butter. For instance, olive oil or shea butter can work.

You might have to apply the moisture and sealant several times to get the effect that you desire. After each treatment, try to avoid putting too much heat on the hair.

Talk to your hair stylist or supplier to find other ways to protect and revitalize your virgin Cambodian hair. For more information, contact All Virgin Hair or a similar company.
